Obituary -Carl Leroy Barker

Carl L. Barker Carl L. Barker OGDEN - Carl L. Barker of Ogden, Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Friend passed away after a long battle of Kidney Failure, Heart Disease and Diabetes Carl was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kingston Ward. He graduated from Ogden High School in 1961 and attended Weber State College. On July 7, 1983 Carl married the love of his life Sandra A. Payne. Carl worked for Parsons, On Site Security, Job Corp, IMC and Lee's Donuts. Carl Owned and Operated his own business Diversified Orthodontic Laboratory of Utah for many years. He volunteered at Head Start. He was a life long member of Stags Car Club. A member of AIM (Amputees in Motion). He devotedly loved his wife Sandra. He loved spending quality time with his beloved grandchildren. He enjoyed rebuilding cars, camping and making jokes for giving and receiving laughter. Carl always had love and time for everyone. He was loved and will be missed by all who had the opportuni ty to know him. He is survived by his Wife Sandra, his son Mel Payne and his daughter Christine M. Barker. His Mother-In-Law Nancy Holt, five grandchildren; Andrew R. Payne (England), Shaylee Bennett-Payne, Dimitri S. Barker, Sydney A. Payne (England), Keontae Barker, his brother F. Dee Barker, (Donna), his sisters, Ruby B. Speechley (Roy), Delta B. Spendlove and LaDonna T. Barker. Carl was preceded in death by his parents Albert William Barker and Edith Rosetta Marsh Barker his brothers and sisters Robert W. Barker, Paul R. Barker, Ione B. VanWoerkom, Norma Charlesworth., Art Spendlove. Special Thanks to the Police Officers, Paramedics and Leavitt's Mortuary that assisted his wife on the day of Carl's death. Also Thank You! Bonneville Kidney Dialysis for taking such good care of him while in your care. In lieu of flowers the family asks that your donations be made to Bonneville Kidney Foundation. Funeral Services were held January 19, at 11 a.m. at Leavitt's Mortuary. Interment was at the Ben Lomond Cemetery.
