Obituary - Edith Shurtleff (Pelton)

 

 

 

 

ROY - Edith (Edie) Marlene Pelton, 64, passed away February 19, 2008 peacefully, surrounded by family at North Davis Hospital. She was born June 29, 1943 in Mountain View, Wyoming to Edmund Lee Shurtleff and Margaret Lillian Ward. Edie attended Ogden City Schools and graduated from Ogden High School in 1961.

She worked for I.R.S. from 1972 until she retired in 1981 to marry the love of her life Jimmie Pelton and raise her two children.

Edies most cherish-able gifts were her two sons, Kelly and Brandon. Edie was an avid Denver Broncos and Utah Jazz Fan. She loved spending time in Wendover with her husband, and going to Riverdale bingo with her two sons, sister Alice and brother Ron.

She is survived by her husband Jimmie; children: Kelly (Carol) Gallegos, Brandon (Melissa) Gallegos; five grand-children, Brianna, Chelsey, Mariah, Krissa and Kaden. Also surviving are her five brothers and one sister; Ed (Carolyn HOLD) Shurtleff, George (June) Shurtleff, Leland (Ethel) Shurtleff, Donald (Cheri) Shurtleff, Ronald Shurtleff and sister Alice (Skip) Stalker and good friend Shirley McCrone.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Clyde and Harold, and grand-daughter Ashley.

Funeral service were Saturday, February 23rd at 11 a.m. at Myers Mortuary.

Interment, Aultorest Memorial Park.

Edie will be greatly missed by family and friends. To the world you might be one person, but to us you might just be the world.
