Dennis Stewart passed away on July 10, 2003 from congestive heart failure at the age of 60.

He was born December 19, 1942 to parents Charles Legrade and Rema Heiner. Born and raised in Ogden, Dennis graduated from Ogden High School and attended BYU. He married Mary Anne Jones. They lived in Sumner, Washington. They were later divorced. In 1978, Dennis moved back to Ogden to help run the family business, Stewart Auto, with his father and brother-in-law Darrel Perry. Dennis retired in 1995 and received his heart transplant in November 1995. Dennis married Christine Hardy in 1979. They were later divorced. He then married Bonnie Tait in 2000 and moved to Mesquite, Nevada.

Surviving Dennis are his wife Bonnie of Mesquite, Nevada; mother, Rema Stewart, Riverdale; sister, Jane Perry, West Point; son, Eric and daughter, Sara Anne, of Sumner, Washington; daughter, Malinda Stewart, South Ogden; and four stepdaughters Mary Connole, Sandy, Terri Hurt, Richfield, Vicky Farney, Hill Air Force Base, and Susan Hirst, West Jordan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles and son, Erin.

A special thanks to the heart transplant team at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City for all the care and comfort they gave him.

Private family viewing was held Tuesday, July 15th.

A graveside service was held at 11 a.m., July 15th, at Washington Heights Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to LDS Hospital Heart Transplant Fund in Dennis" name.
