Dennis Merlin “Mo” Thornley 1943 – 2012

OGDEN – Dennis Merlin “Mo” Thornley, 69, passed away on Sunday July 29, 2012 at the Crestwood Care Center due to an illness. He was born on May 4, 1943 in Ogden, Utah, son of Merlin Layton and Lois Hodson Thornley.

He lived in Ogden, Utah, Ketchum, Idaho and Alaska. He loved cars, photography, traveling and skiing. Mo lived an exciting life and loved to share his many travel adventures with family and friends.

Mo is survived by his sister, Marian (Darrell) Wiser; brothers, Kent H. Thornley and David J. Thornley; and five nieces, Karie, Kathy, Kim, Kamee, and Tiffany and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mo made the decision to be cremated so at his request, there will be no funeral services. A Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Our family would like to thank the staff at Crestwood Care Center for the compassionate and loving care they gave to Mo, it was truly his home away from home. He had made many wonderful friends in the year he was there. A special thanks to Dr. Michael D. Woolman and Dr. Harold Johnson for their care and kindness.
