Obituary - Sue Thorstensen

Lael Sue Thorstensen Schreiner

Lael Sue Thorstensen Schreiner, age 56, passed away Monday, February 28, 2000 following a valiant battle with cancer.

She was born March 31, 1943 in Ogden, Utah to George F. Thorstensen and Onda Langford.

Sue married Lawrence Astin Schreiner October 30, 1970 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She was an honor graduate of Ogden High School and Brigham Young University.

Sue was an active member of the LDS Church and had a particular love for the Primary organization and Primary children, having served as a teacher, leader and more recently as Primary pianist.

She was particularly devoted to her family and enjoyed participating in the activities of her children. Her grandson brought her special pleasure and happiness.

Sue is survived by her husband, Lawrence, of Bountiful; son, Gary (Krisalyn), and grandson, Jeremy Schreiner, of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania; daughter, Marianne Schreiner and son, Jared Schreiner, of Bountiful; son Derek Schreiner, currently serving in the Brazil Porto Alegre South LDS Mission; her parents of Ogden; sister, Sharol Morris, of Bountiful; brothers, Greg Thorstensen, of Ogden and John Thorstensen, of Eden; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 4, 2000 at 11 a.m. in the Bountiful North Canyon Third Ward Chapel.
