Georgia Lee Gellatly, 81, passed away peacefully at home on February 24, 2025 surrounded by family. She is survived by her daughter, Kim Winn; son in law Larry Winn; grandchildren, Jade Furlong, (Cody Swainston) Bailee Busby (Logan Morris), Quinlan Busby, and Abby Busby. She is reunited with her beloved husband, Walt, who passed in 2015, and their son, Chad. Georgia was born to Nelly Runstedt Bell and George E Bell.
Georgia had a wild spirit and a generous heart, always helping those around her. She loved riding four-wheelers, driving tractors on red dirt roads, and spending time at the family cabin, a place of love and memories made possible by her and Walt. She always made everyone feel welcome and fed! She even taught the family fur kid Dixie to beg better than any other. The mountains were her home, where she raised her children and built a lasting legacy of adventure, resilience, and togetherness. She loved fishing and flying in her and Walt’s airplane together. She had a deep love for her family, there was nothing she would not do for those she loved and proved it everyday by her selfless actions. She loved music and found joy in camping and nature. She taught so many people what love is, everyone called her “MOM”. She always made everyone feel loved by her guiding light. She will be missed immensely and cherished for her warmth and love but also her hilarious antics and stories. We all LOVE YOU AL DE LA and we promise to always keep the light on!
A special thank you to the Pioneer Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for their love and support. Georgia’s warmth, wisdom, and adventurous spirit will live on in all who knew her.
