ROY - Darrel Hart Bodily, 63, passed away peacefully at his home after a courageous battle with Leukemia on Monday, April 2, 2007. He was born April 5, 1943 in Ogden, Utah to John Edward and Ethel Hart Bodily. He was raised in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School and Weber College. Darrel served an LDS mission in the Central Atlantic Mission from 1963-1965. On July 15, 1965 he married Goldene Bingham in the Logan LDS Temple. Darrel owned and operated D&B Body & Paint for 22 years. He enjoyed working on cars and took pride in his work. He loved working with his hands and did stained glass and leather work. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in many positions. Scouting was his favorite where he served for 25 years earning many awards including the District Award of Merit and Wood Badge. He loved his family. He especially enjoyed camping and snow skiing trips. He supported all his children and grandchildren in their various activities. He quietly helped many people and touched their lives over the years. Surviving are his wife Goldene, his five children Kevin, Illinois; Conrad (Cristi) Plain City; Andrew (Stacy) St. George; Jennifer, Roy; Kiel (Angie) Roy; 12 grandchildren, his sister Joyce Howell, Colorado and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Blaine. Funeral services were held Friday, April 6, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Lake View Ward Chapel, 2000 W. 4900 S. Roy. Interment in the Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch. The family would like to express gratitude to Dr. Vincent Hansen and the staff at the Utah Hematology and Oncology and IHC for their loving care.
