After graduating from Ogden High School in 1961, Marjorie graduated from the School of Nursing at Weber State College. She was a registered nurse, working in the emergency room at McKay Dee Hospital. Marjorie married Arnold I. Wilkins on June 16, 1967.
Unfortunately after attending a medical seminar in Alberqueque, New Mexico in October of “75, Arnold was aboard a twin engine private plane that crashed in the White Mountains that killed all aboard. The search was on for 3 weeks, the wreckage was finally found with all aboard still strapped in their seats.
Marjorie and her daughter Michelle moved back to Ogden in 1976. She went to work in the ER at McKay-Dee Hospital.
She traveled to Hawaii, Mexico, NYC, California, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Florida, Texas and Washington DC. Spent time in Europe (Spain, Greece, Italy, France, Germany, Tangiers, and England). She went with her sister to the Orient visiting Bannock, Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong.
In 1982 she met Dean Phipps at a singles square dance group. They dated for awhile then got married Aug 03, 1982.
In 1986 Dean was transferred to Tucson, Arizona with his work at Hill Air Force Base to Davis Montham AFB. They bought a new home that they had built in Tucson. They became reactivated in the Church and were married in the SLC Temple. Marjorie died on Oct 06, 2016
