Earl Harold Heninger

Born in Ogden, Utah on Sep. 1, 1943 Departed on Mar. 12, 2012 and resided in North Ogden, UT.

Earl Harold Heninger North Ogden –– Earl Harold Heninger, 68, died March 12, 2012 at McKay-Dee Hospital. He was born September 1, 1943 in Ogden, Utah the son of Earl Simpson Heninger and Juanita June Siddoway Heninger. He graduated from Ogden High School in 1961. He attended Weber State, Utah State and the University of Utah. Earl married the love of his life, Anne Malan, on November 22, 1963 in the Logan Temple. He was a member of the Pleasant View 2nd Ward. He was an extraordinary educator. Earl served students as a science/chemistry teacher at Roy High, AP biology at Weber High and director at No. Fork Environmental Center. He proudly led Weber High School as a Principal for 13 years and served 7 years as a School Board Member. Earl taught many to love and appreciate the outdoors. He had an infectious passion for sharing our beautiful world with others. He was a skilled fisherman. Earl and Mike Casey (from Smith and Edwards) started the Northern Utah Bass Federation. Earl is survived by his wife, Anne; daughter, Lisa (Dirk) Gunderson; son, Lance (Kristi) Heninger; 2 grandchildren, Broc Gunderson and Ashley Gunderson(fiancéé Laine Anderson); sisters, Pat (Gene) Hopkin, Shirley (Don) Pewtress and Carole (Brent) Thompson. Also survived by 2 brothers-in-law and 3 sisters-in-law, Kent (Rosalyn) Malan, Linda (Delon) Hughes, Phyllis (Verlin) Malloy, Adele (Sid) Forsgren and John Malan. Funeral services will be held at 11a.m on Friday, March 16, 2012 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 15th from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery. A special thanks to friends and family, IHC Hospice, Senior Companions, Donna and Beth, and to his many Warrior students.
