Clarence Struthers

Clarence “Click” Jerome Sturthers, Jr., loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018 in Provo, Utah.  He was born March 24, 1943 in Napa, Idaho to Clarence Jerome and Mabel Hannah Breckon Struthers.  He was a graduate of Ogden High School and joined the US Navy shortly after his graduation.  He served for four years as a Radio Operator.  Hamm Radios remained a favorite hobby of his throughout his life.

He married his sweetheart, Jenny Elaine Johnson on January 6, 1965 in the Los Angeles LDS Temple.  They are the parents of six wonderful children and many amazing grandchildren and great grandchildren.  His favorite activity was spending time and making memories with his family.  Clarence also enjoyed Calligraphy and Genealogy.  Clarence was employed by GTE, General Telephone and Electric for over 28 years.

A life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he was faithful and devoted and served in many positions including, Sunday School President, Librarian, Ward Mission Leader, High Priest Group Leader, Executive Secretary, and Membership Clerk.  He also served as a Temple Worker in the Los Angeles Temple and a service mission to the Spanish Fork Family History Library.  He was an example of commitment and dedication to the Savior.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jenny; children, Clarence Jerome (Tammy) Struthers, III, Cherie Frances (James) Engle, James Breckon (Laurel) Struthers, Sr., Benjamin Alma (Tammy Ann) Struthers, Matthew Jared (Amy) Struthers, and Desiree Rose (Larry) Whitehead.  He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren who love him dearly.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert Struthers, Norman Struthers, Buehl Struthers; and a sister, Cleda Meacham.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Palmyra Stake Center Chapel, 505 East 900 North, Spanish Fork, Utah.  Family and friends may visit at the church on Monday morning from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to the service.  Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
