Snohomish WA.- Lorna Cox, a long time Washington resident, died peacefully in her home, surrounded by her husband, family and a view of her lake.

Lorna married and is the mother of 8 children. Lorna and her husband Ray moved to Washington in the early part of their marriage. Lorna would tell people, “As we came over the mountains the scenery got greener and greener, it was so beautiful, I knew I would never want to leave.”

Lorna was an active member of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints and loved the gospel. She served in numerous roles including Relief Society President and taught Seminary for many years of her life. She enjoyed teaching the gospel to the youth of the church. Lorna was an exceptional teacher! Her love and passion for the church was apparent in everything she did. Lorna has great faith in the gospel of Christ and loved to read the scriptures.

Lorna enjoyed reading, traveling and being outdoors. Lorna was an exceptional seamstress and enjoyed sewing for her children and grandchildren. Her artistic and creative talents came through in everything she sewed.

Lorna had a love for sunsets, gardening and the ocean.

Lorna is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She joins her two sisters, brother, her parents and one granddaughter in heaven.

She was loved by all that knew her and will be missed.
