CLEARFIELD - Michael J. Wilson, 62, of Clearfield, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2006 at the Aspen Care Center in Ogden after a long illness with cancer.
Mike was born February 5, 1943 in Ogden, a son, of Howard and Lenore Wilson.
He owned and operated an Amoco service station in Ogden in the early 1970's. He moved to California and worked for the IRS in Fresno. He moved back to Ogden and worked at the Clearfield Mobile Home Park until recently.
He is survived by one brother, Gary Wilson of Ogden.
He was preceded in death his parents and a sister.
The family wishes to sincerely thank the staff at the Aspen Care Center and three special friends who helped Mike through the last several years: Pat VanZyl, Kathy Reedy and Larry Hart. They have provided invaluable care and concern.
Private graveside services were held at a later date in the Ogden City Cemetery.
"God knew you were suffering that the hills were hard to climb, so he gently closed your eyelids and whispered peace be thine. In tears we watched you sinking, we watched you fade away; our hearts were nearly broken you fought so hard to stay. It broke our hearts to see you go, but you did not go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home."
