Sharon Marsh Obituary

On May 19, 1943 Sharon Anderson Marsh was born, bringing a pure soul and a bright light into this world. She was born into a military family who traveled and from a very young age enjoyed dancing and singing for fellow train travelers. Her family settled in Ogden Utah, and she graduated from Ogden High School where she met Bob Marsh, her high school sweetheart who she married in 1961. They started a family soon after and the adventures began. She worked tirelessly to create so many traditions and treasured memories, from making homemade gingerbread houses, singing Christmas carols mid-summer while canning fruits and vegetables, and the yearly vacations to Disneyland where she could be a kid again- it truly was her happy place and I’m sure none of us will ever forget holding hands and running across the park at closing to ride Pirates of the Caribbean just “one more time. “ The years went on and the family grew, adding grandchildren and later great grandchildren. She treasured her precious grandchildren more than anything in this world and was the grandmother every child dreams of. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She never missed an opportunity to serve but truly enjoyed serving as the ward drama director where she wrote, produced and directed road shows and plays. Later she and Bob served a temple mission to Nauvoo doing work they loved.
On August 5 2024 the world lost that light when she passed peacefully with Bob holding her hand.
She is survived by her Husband of 63 years, Bob Marsh, her children Kristee Bass (Chuck) Cindi Marsh (Barbara) Rob Marsh (Lisa), brothers Tony and David, and her beloved grandchildren Jake Bass (Windy), Josh Bass, Bree Murray (Trevor), Megan Marsh, Austin Marsh, Kaylee Marsh and her great grandchildren Samantha Hardy (Ian), Paislee Murray, Dallin Murray, Slater Murray, Wesley Bass and Riggston Murray. Forever a ginger, she kept her signature red hair until she was called to the next plane of existence, where hopefully she’s enjoying being out of pain and they serve Coke, not Pepsi. The void she left is deep, but the love remains.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at the West Weber 2nd Ward, 900 South 4100 West, West Weber.
