Obituary - Max Briem

Glen Max Briem LAYTON -- Glen M. Briem, 57, died February 11, 2001 at his home of lung cancer. Glen was born on April 19, 1943 to Leland Briem and Edith Gidney in Ogden, Utah. He attended Ogden city Schools and was a graduate of Weber State University. Glen worked for IBM for 23 years in sales, education and management where he received many awards for his excellent performance. He was highly respected by his peers. After his early retirement from IBM he and his wife owned and operated a retail store in Atlanta, Georgia for several years before returning to Utah. For the past several years Glen has been a top producer as a Real Estate Agent and will soon receive his Sales Master Award of the Greater Ogden Area Association of Realtors for the fourth year. Glen was also in the top 6% of Prudential Nationwide National Network. He was associated with Prudential 1st Choice Real Estate in Layton. Glen loved gardening and turned the grounds around his Georgia home into a master showplace, often receiving notes of praise from many who admired his hard work. He was a graduate of the Georgia Master Gardener Association. At the time of his death Glen resided in Layton, Utah with his wife of 35 years, Jeri Hadley Briem. They are the parents of two children, Raquel (Tom) Willard, Tucson, AZ; and Karl (Kimie) Briem, Atlanta, GA. They have four beautiful grandchildren, Emily and Benjamin Willard, Jason and Tyler Briem. Glen is also survived by two brothers and one sister, Ray Briem, Malibu, CA; Rand (Vera) Briem, Ogden; Marilyn (Luke) Blakeley, So. Ogden. He was preceded in death by his and Jeri's parents. Funeral services were held Thursday, February 15, 2001 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary. Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Many thanks to family, friends and neighbors for their loving, caring support these past many months.
