Shirley Summerill, a beacon of love and selflessness, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister & dear Friend, passed away on May 16, 2024. Born in Ogden, Utah to Clyde Hodson Covington and Opal Price on January 5, 1943, Shirley spent her formative years in Ogden, attending Ogden High School and Weber State University.

Shirley was married twice; first to Robert Porter in 1962, and later to James D. Summerill in 1969. Together, Shirley and James had a Daughter, and he brought three children into their marriage, they later divorced. Shirley was a dedicated employee, serving over 30 years at the Defense Depot Ogden. Her radiant laugh and enchanting smile endeared her to all who crossed her path.
