Roger Perry Van Cleave

RIVERDALE - Roger Perry Van Cleave of Riverdale, Utah, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2003 at the age of 60. He was born June 16, 1943 to Robert Lee and Dora Ferrin Van Cleave in Ogden, Utah.

Roger attended Ogden High School and graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor"s Degree in History.

He gratefully served his country in the Marines during the Vietnam War for 2 1/2 tours of duty and later in the U.S. Navy Reserves. He was a proud member of the Ogden Police Force, retiring as a Sergeant after 17 years of service. He also was a respected member of the Masonic Order and had been elected twice as Worshipful Master of the George Washington Lodge #24 in Ogden,Utah.

Roger is survived by his one daughter, Heidi (Andrew) Coleman; two grandsons,Taylor and Kimball; two brothers, Deon (Loma) and Tom (Bonnie); sister-in-law, JoAnn; three nephews and several grandnieces and nephews.

Memorial services were held Sunday, October 26, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. at Leavitt"s Mortuary.

Cremation under direction of Leavitt"s Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shriners Children"s Hospital, Salt Lake City, UT.
