Lynn and I live in Grace, Idaho, "God's Country" as Dave Gray named it. We are both retired from Education. I was an Elementary School teacher and he was a high school teacher, coach, and administrator. We both graduated from Weber State, so many of you know him.

We had 5 childdren and love being grandparents to 13 grandchildren who are the light of our lives. Who can resist the shout of "Grandpa! Grandma! Did you bring us treats?!!" I love my life and the great gift of "time" since retirement. Lynn likes riding and breaking his horses and right now is feeding hay to a herd of deer that he has adopted up on our 10 acre "ranch."

We find time for a cruise now and then, church, friends, and family to make our life enjoyable. I am really looking forward to our "50th" to see the incredible people that surrounded me during my years of being an Ogden High Tiger. What wonderful memories!

Sandy, Happy Birthday! I loved reading your article as it brought back memories of those people who were a part of our lives. I still have some of the writing projects, written in cursive/ink, assigned by beloved Mr Thornley. My love through the years was teaching elementary children to write. Thanks for sharing and we'll see you soon! Love, Dina

I remember Carol loviing ELVIS!  Does anyone remember the assembly @ Washington Jr High when she impersonated him singing

" You Ain't Nothing But A Hound Dog" and Heartbreak Hotel"?  She was great and we all went nuts!

Dear Family,  I grew up in Grand View Acres with Kent and his beautiful sister Janet.  We had all kinds of adventures from tobagganing on Horses Hill to my first dance at Washington Jr High with him.  I was 5'6" and he was 5' and I remember rubbing the top of his crew-cut as I towered over him. There was quite a gang of us that hung together in school and play from Grandview Acres Kindergarten to Washington Jr High to Ogden High to  Weber College and the memories won't be forgotten. My love goes to his family.

Sincerely, Dina Downs Smith

Dear Brent,
Hope you are getting well and we send our love to you. Not much fun to be down on your birthday. Mine was 6 days before yours, so I am much older and wiser! Love to you!
